Outdoor lovers who love skiing may be quite interested in the news. Recently, Apple Watch ushered in a system upgrade, after the upgrade, the smart watch can track ski-related data. In other words, users can see how much calories they have burned during skiing and how fast they are skiing. Not only that, but several associated applications now provide additional data.
By combining GPS and altitude measurements, Apple Watch can track the data generated in skiing. Applications such as Slopes, Ski Tracks, Snoww, and Snocru also usher in upgrades recently. After the upgrade, these sports apps will take full advantage of Apple Watch's new features, and Slopes can even track the total vertical and horizontal distance, heart rate, and the amount of time actually spent for skiing (but excluding other timescales such as queuing up). Slopes also offers snowboarding data, including the fastest and average speed of the sport. This upgrade will allow all ski applications and snowboarding apps to transition to default when the user raises their wrists.
It is worth mentioning that even when the watch is not using the LTE connection, these applications can collect all the data. The GPS version of Apple Watch Series 2 and Series 3 also allow users to track distance and speed when data traffic is not activated.
Recently, the United States Patent and Trademark Office awarded Apple a patent related to the "Wearable Electronic Device Storage Box," describing it as an AppleWatch accessory in the patent description that functions like a pocket of AirPods to charge a watch. The iwatch accessories have the rectangular shape and the strap needs to be removed first to be recharged. The case has a groove for the strap, and it has a magnetic design. When the watch is being charged, the user can put it in the pocket or a bag and take it around.
In addition to this portable charger, it is even more rumored that Apple will launch a battery strap for AppleWatch, so the watch battery life can have an additional one more day.
