Apple acquired Beats headphones and Beats music in 2014, and three years later they plan to launch their new headphones with the experience built from Beats.
Recently, Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst at KGI, mentioned in his latest research report that Apple is preparing two heavy headphone products, one is the new AirPods supporting "Hey, Siri" and the other is is a high-end, head-mounted wireless headset. However, this headset is not the successor to the Beats Studio 3 series. Instead, it uses a brand new design with its own brand of headphone and ships Q3 as soon as 2018.
Analysts emphasize that this headset will be Primax foundry, with SZS metal forming process, will use a different design Beats Studio 3 new at the same time, it has compared with the convenience of AirPods, and the sound quality might be even better than AirPods. If the news is accurate, then it happens to prove Apple's determination to switch to the core product of music after the iPod was knocked out. The high-end headphones from AirPods, HomePod and all the rumors are all around the music.
As Apple's philosophy, the new headset is definitely wireless, so the 3.5mm interface is likely to be abandoned directly. Earlier we reported for everyone Apple's upcoming AirPods 2 generation, its built-in W1 chip will be fully upgraded, this technology will be used in Apple's headphones, and should be able to support wireless charging.
Sound quality, from the performance of HomePod point of view, it will be not bad at all. There is no doubt that appearance will be stylish, simple and portable. There may be some novelty in the "foldable" feature, of course, based on the beliefs of Apple Accessories products, we think it will have a hard-earned price/performance ratio.
In addition, Apple's another wireless headset AirPods mobile earphones will be upgraded this year. AirPods 2 basically is unchanged in appearance, using better than ever the WI chip (Evolution), to further enhance the battery life and improve Bluetooth sound quality. AirPods 2 supports Hey Siri voice commands, plus a box that supports wireless charging and a waterproof version. The price will be more expensive than the old one.
